Together in collaboration with partner organisations such as Animal Ark and EMRC, Native Animal Rescue offers a range of events for members and the general public. You can keep track of our events either on this page, or via our Facebook page.
Birds make up over 70% of the animals brought to NAR. Designed for families, this workshop aims to raise awareness about birds in the suburbs, focusing on magpies and ducks. Kids and adults will learn about ecology, how to manage interactions, why feeding wild birds is harmful, what to do if you find a baby bird, and how to plant flora to create habitats and food. We will then help NAR to revegetate an area of Banksia Woodland on their property. A highlight of this workshop will be a tour of the NAR facilities and meeting some of our fantastic education animals.
The West Australian Herpetological Society’s Reptile Expo is on again in 2017! Held at the Claremont Showground, this will be a family-fun day to remember. The Expo will have lizards, snakes, frogs, stalls, vets and more! We will be there with our education animals, so come along and say hello to our fluffy, feathered, and scaly friends.
