Work Experience

Please note that we are currently FULLY BOOKED for 2017 and can not add any new names to our waiting list. If you are interested in working with us for your work experience program, please check back in the New Year 2018.

Native Animal Rescue offers work experience training for students from high schools, TAFE, universities, and other training institutions.

We offer training for work experience students in animal care, which involves cleaning cages, feeding and treating sick and injured animals, providing enrichment, and more. If you require training in triage our Clinic Manager and Animal Care Team can assist with examining newly admitted animals, as well as administering medication and other treatment under supervision. You will also have the opportunity to receive specialty training for work with Black Cockatoos, Waterbirds, Marsupials and Macropods, and Reptiles.

As we are the only wildlife rehabilitation facility located in Perth’s northern suburbs, our bookings fill up quickly. As a result, we are currently fully booked for 2017, and we already have a waiting list for 2018. If you are interested in working with us for your work experience program, please check back in the New Year 2018.
